Water & Wastewater Quality Laboratory
The quality and safety of the water we produce is constantly checked by the laboratory. Every year over 5100 samples are collected upon which approximately 54,500 physical, chemical and bacteriological tests are carried out.
The laboratory is accredited by the National Accreditation Board - Malta, (Registration Number 001). It is accredited for chemical and bacteriological water sampling and for a number of chemical tests in the field of water quality. The laboratory accreditation may be viewed after entering the registration number where applicable.
In addition, the laboratory has also the facility of performing a series of other non-accredited tests of both chemical and bacteriological nature for potable and wastewater. These tests shall be included in the scope of laboratory accreditation in the near future.
The Laboratory also provides an expert testing service to the private sector. Our policy is to provide a professional analytical service to all Laboratory clients and to maintain a level of quality and excellence in attaining these objectives.
