As a result of this project treated sewage effluent is being further treated and used as an additional water resource for agricultural use.

The project also aims at addressing the problems associated with the treatment of farm waste. Another objective of the project is improving the effective use of groundwater for agricultural landscaping, industry and other uses.

This “New Water” is being piped to a number of strategic locations to dedicated dispensers that work by access cards. Boreholes used for agriculture are also being metered.
