The Water Services Corporation is responsible for the production and distribution of potable water in the Maltese Islands. Its water production processes are ISO9001 certified, and the tap water is conformant with the EU Drinking water Directive (2020/2184), as transposed locally in LN297 of 2023.
Through its ISO/IEC 17025 accredited laboratory, the corporation has a monitoring programme for tap water.
